Ohio National Guard chief to take D.C. post
Those two stars on her uniform have earned the general a new job in Washington, D.C.
But it’s the two granddaughters in her heart who will make it a very long commute.

Gen. Deborah A. Ashenhurst, the first female adjutant general of the Ohio National Guard, will leave her state cabinet post on Jan. 10 to become a special assistant to the vice chief at the National Guard Bureau.
She won’t be permanently relocating.
Her son, Jimmy, and his wife live just a few miles from his parents’ Hilliard home.
