Jackie Shroff (born 1 February 1957) is an Indian actor.
He has been working in the Hindi films for almost four decades and till now has appeared in more than 250 films in thirteen languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Konkani, Odia, Punjabi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Gujarati and English).[1][2] He has won four Filmfare Awards among other accolades.
He has also appeared in several successful short films.

After a small appearance in Swami Dada (1982), Shroff made his lead debut with Subhash Ghai's Hero (1983), which made him an overnight star. He went onto establish himself with successful films such as - Teri Meherbaniyan (1985), Aaj Ka Daur (1985), Karma (1986), Ram Lakhan (1989) and Parinda (1989), winning Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the latter.
