Nicole Richie is an American socialite, fashion designer, reality TV personality, actress, and author. She is the adopted daughter of the music legend, Lionell Richie.

Thereafter, she became a mentor on the NBC series Fashion Star. Her role in the Fox reality television series, The Simple Life featuring her fellow socialite Paris Hilton also led her to stardom.
She was born Nicole Camille Escovedo in Berkeley, California, United States.
At age 3, she moved to stay with her father’s bandmate, Lionel Richie.
